Titel: Challenges In The Morphing Threat Landscape

The landscape of computer security is always changing, constantly shifting from one problem to another.
Cyber criminals are modifying their malwares altering its attack vectors and their target victims in order to
increase their profit. In 2011 we already have seen many different new approaches to delivering
mass injections to legitimate web sites. Some of them were less successful, others were more so,
for example the recent attack, LizaMoon campaign has compromised hundreds of thousands of sites.

WebsenseLabs’ challenge is to keep up with the ever increasing malicious contents delivered by these defaced
web sites as well as the ones delivered by spam or phishing e-mail campaigns or malvertisings.

Security Researcher Websense

Achtergrond

Tamas Rudnai started his computer security career back in the early 90s as a founder, and researcher, of a free antivirus software product called “VirKill”. Tamas has worked on advanced virus detection techniques such as heuristic scanning and root kit detection and has written multiple articles on virus analysis for assorted Hungarian computer magazines. He has spent the last 10 years working for various antivirus companies as a threat researcher and antivirus engine developer.

Tamas currently works at Websense Security Labs UK focusing on researching protection mechanisms for Web-based malware attacks and exploits.
